STEPHEN S. DORF: `I'm Lost Without Him'

StephenMichelle Dorf said she used to fight "a lot" with her brother Stephen S. Dorf. But as the two youngest among six siblings from Bensonhurst in Brooklyn, they were also very close.

He helped her get a job at Euro Brokers/Maxcor Financial Group, where he worked as a communications technician on the 84th floor of 2 World Trade Center. When she could not afford to buy a home by herself, she said, he went in as her partner, and the two got a five-bedroom house in New Milford, N.J.

Mr. Dorf, 39 and single, was also the father figure to his younger sister's 15-year- old son after her divorce. Uncle and nephew were addicted to movies "oh everything!". The hottest movie out they'd see," Ms. Dorf, 37, said and they loved nothing more than watching television together, day and night.

"He used to baby-sit a lot," she said. "He used to do everything around the house. I don't know what I'm doing now. I'm lost without him."
