Anthony Fallone: A Joke

wonder who writes those wacky e-mail jokes that make the
rounds on Wall Street? Anthony Fallone, 39 years old, was
clearly one of the champs.
He had a no-nonsense style at business. He was a bond
trader at Cantor Fitzgerald. But when he was not busy at
work, he could be found sitting at his computer screen --
roaring with laughter at either what he had just read or
written. "He had an irreverent sense of humor," said his
wife, Patty. "He could see the humor in anything. As one
friend put it: He looked at life and got the joke."
With his deep belly laugh and quick (sometimes
twisted) wit, Mr. Fallone -- who everyone knew as Tony --
had a personality that matched his large frame. He
invented nicknames for people, punctuated jokes with
ad-libbed songs and never lost the chance to poke fun at
himself. But probably no one appreciated his humor more
than his wife and their four children, Katie, 11;
Alexandra, 10; Anthony, 7; and Patrick, 5.
"He was a larger than life guy," Mrs. Fallone said.
"One of the funniest people you ever met. When I filled
out the missing person's report, we laughed so hard at
how he would want himself described in the report."
