Linda M. Colon: Ms.
Detail
Linda
M. Colon was the glue at Marsh & McLennan, the person
who made sure that all the logistics, the computers, the
systems, the modeling, the décor &emdash;
everything &emdash; were all taken care of before anyone
began to complain. She was also the person who handled
the relocation of the corporate headquarters from the
Avenue of the Americas to the World Trade Center about a
year ago.
Mrs. Colon, 46, was a senior vice president for
facilities management, and she loved her job, said her
sister Ivette Hernandez. Loved it so much, in fact, that
she became a mentor to young people interested in the
financial world.
But what Mrs. Colon, who grew up in the Bronx but
lived in Perrineville, N.J., enjoyed more than anything
was spending time with her husband, Robert, and two
daughters, Christine, who turned 18 on Sunday, and Tracy,
who is 11.
She was especially happy that Christine had worked
this summer with her at Marsh.
